I love popping into Kehoe's Pub on South Ann Street, Dublin.A beautiful traditional pub just off Grafton Street, it always feels like you are stepping back in time when you walk thru the door.A great example of a Dublin Victorian Pub, with dark timbers, well trodden floor boards it has been lovingly maintained throughout the years.Walls are covered in embossed wallpaper, with layers of paint from years gone by, a traditional carved cornice separates the walls & ceiling with is also decorated with embossed painted wallpaper. The bar counter is partitioned by means of glazed screens, creating cosy intimate areas to a bar that runs the length of the pub.Kehoe's is typical of many old Irish pubs, the layout is narrow, creating atmospheric bottleneck during busy times. There is a great example of a traditional snug inside the front door complete with serving hatch. The back bar has a mixture of mirrored shelving & drawers both back bar & dividing screens are simply glazed with a gorgeous moulding detail to the top.Well worth a visit next time you are visiting Dublin, get there early if you want to see all the details of the pub as it's a busy spot!!!
Love Irish Pubs!!!Love your Pub!!♥
